How much do you need?
The Material
The feel of four plies.
Take a sheet between your fingers. Four layers give it a cushioned, substantial feel, while the paper stays supple enough to fold and drape. The embossing adds texture across the surface. It is a difference you can look at closely and feel for yourself.
Made from 100% bamboo pulp, with no added fragrance or dye. The warm cream shade belongs to the First Edition's look. Each roll holds 250 sheets, measuring 100 × 100 mm: clear specifications for the paper you are bringing home.
The Source
Bamboo is a grass that can regrow from its root system after harvest. Our paper is made in China; the finished rolls are then shipped to Canada, inspected and packed here. That is the journey behind the box, and the distinction behind “packed in Canada.”
Results from separate SGS tests of our manufacturer's submitted white-paper samples, dated February 2024 to April 2026. “Not detected” means below each laboratory detection limit. Reports do not identify BAMBUM retail batches and are available on request.
12 or 48 rolls: what changes?
The paper stays the same. Both sizes contain our four-ply First Edition, with 250 sheets per roll. The difference is how much you keep on hand and what you pay per roll. 12 rolls: 3,000 sheets. $20.00 CAD bought once, or $43.00 CAD per subscription delivery. A smaller box to begin with.
48 rolls: 12,000 sheets. $55.00 CAD bought once, or $110.00 CAD per subscription delivery. The lower price per roll, with more paper to keep in reserve. For a like-for-like calculation, 12 rolls cost $1.67 per 100 sheets bought once, or $1.43 by subscription. For 48 rolls, it is $1.04 or $0.92 respectively. Delivery across Canada is included; taxes are extra.
Comparing materials as well as prices? BAMBUM uses bamboo pulp, rather than recycled paper. Our bamboo-versus-recycled guide explains the distinction. The cost-per-sheet calculator lets you compare pack prices with sheet count and size in mind.
